Hello! My name is Matt Witt and I have had the pleasure serving as the SC HIMSS Scholarship chair for the last several years. The Scholarship committee is established each year to evaluate the candidate submissions for the $3000 award that is offered by the chapter, annually. The committee consists of board members and the previous year’s scholarship recipients. Contact information is located on each year’s application packet and is released each Spring semester for selection at beginning of Summer.
Interested parties and applicants should look for the scholarship packet on the SC HIMSS website as it is made available each March with a May submission deadline. Recipients are announced in June. The chapter is quite proud to be able to offer scholarships each year to help bolster our mission of developing members while advocating for health information technology and health information management. Qualified applicants must be HIMSS/SC HIMSS members. For questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
