KEYNOTE SPEAKER – Dr. Gerry Auger
Dr. Auger is passionate about information security, and he enjoys contributing to the development and maturation of organizational information security programs. Having worked within the information technology space since 2005 with a focus on information security and compliance in 2008, Dr. Auger takes a realistic approach to his work and has experience leveraging multiple privacy and risk management frameworks to assist organizations reduce risk and improve security with respect to quality, cost and schedule.

Daniel Leonard (Vice President – Technical Services), Prisma Health – Greenville, S.C.
Daniel has served the community of South Carolina as a leader in healthcare technology for the past 14 years. Application Developer and DBA by background, Daniel graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2004 with a bachelor’s in computer science and holds a master’s degree in Information Service Management from Walden University. Integration and application development have been the cornerstones of his experience. Healthcare Data and Analytics are his most passioned successes. Daniel lives in the Simpsonville community of South Carolina with his wife Stephanie and four children (Hardin, Maple, Alder and Scarlett) tending to their many pets including a number of Beehives.

Rizwan Pasha (CMIO), Microsoft/Nuance Healthcare
Rizwan Pasha is the CMIO of Nuance Healthcare, now part of Microsoft, and co-founder of Physician Technology Partners, a company focused on Epic support and implementations. He is a nationally recognized Epic physician champion and frequently speaks on provider workflow optimization using ambient documentation with Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) and Dragon Medical. He is dedicated to helping providers adopt technology, such as DAX, to improve efficiency and quality. He graduated from The Ohio State School of Medicine and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine.

MODERATOR – Susan Newbold (Healthcare Informatics Educator and Consultant – Nursing Informatics Boot Camp)
Dr. Newbold earned her PhD and MS in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is a Founder of CARING (now ANIA). Susan is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, HIMSS, and AMIA. Identified as a pioneer in nursing informatics, Susan co-edited five books and has written numerous articles on informatics topics. Susan was a keynote speaker in the first nursing informatics conferences held in Taiwan and Singapore and has consulted in informatics in the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Qatar, Singapore, Slovenia, and Taiwan. Susan was selected in the 2013 Class for “Women to Watch” by the Nashville Medical News and is the HIMSS 2015 Chapter Leader of the Year awarded in 2016.
Trish Gallagher (Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO)/Clinical App Lead/Digital Transformation), MUSC Health
Trish is a nursing CNIO leader with a technical and data analytics background and over 20 years in Health Information technology including large-scale EMR implementations across inpatient/outpatient departments. Responsibility has spanned all clinical disciplines including physicians (CPOE/Doc); Nursing and Ancillary departments (Lab, Diagnostic, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Case Management, Nutrition) with a patient centric approach). Strong knowledge in nursing practice as well as Clinical Quality.
Dr. Joretta Barron (DNP, RN-BC – Division VP of Clinical Informatics), HCA Healthcare
Dr. Barron is a visionary healthcare leader at the forefront of bridging clinical excellence with cutting-edge technology as the Vice President of Clinical Informatics for HCA South Atlantic Division. Joretta holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a nursing informatics focus from the University of Alabama Huntsville. In her capacity as Vice President of Clinical Informatics, she is dedicated to leveraging data-driven insights and digital solutions to enhance patient care delivery and operational efficiency. Joretta spearheads the integration of informatics into clinical workflows, ensuring that healthcare providers have access to timely, accurate information to make informed decisions and provide the highest quality of care. Dr. Barron has held positions on the board of the American Nursing Informatics Association TN chapter; she is committed to advancing nursing practice and empowering healthcare professionals to embrace technology as a catalyst for positive change.
Leanne Bradley (Clinical Applications Analyst III), McLeod Health
Leann serves as a liaison for the IT department, end users/operations, and vendors for multiple
systems and applications. Leanne helps to determine workflows and works on
accurately reflecting that in the EHR. She also serves as a mentor to other analysts and
works collaboratively with the IT educators to assist with training for recent updates or
features in the EHR.
Rural Health – Broadband across the State
As Director of the South Carolina Broadband Office, which was formed in July 2021 as part of the South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff (“ORS”), Mr. Stritzinger is responsible for facilitating and ensuring the rapid deployment of broadband infrastructure in South Carolina. He is directly responsible for over $1 billion in state and federal grant investments. Prior to joining ORS, Jim was the Founder and President a consulting firm that specialized in the deployment of high-speed internet in rural communities. He has been featured on NPR Marketplace Tech, the Wall Street Journal, presented at numerous national conferences and was invited to present to the US House Rural Broadband Task Force by Congressman James E. Clyburn. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Mr. Stritzinger to the FCC Intergovernmental Advisory Committee in March 2024. Finally, Jim’s unique broadband mapping methodology was selected for publication in the Esri ® Map Book (Vol 36, 2021, pg. 186). Mr. Stritzinger is a Fellow in the Aspen Global Leadership Network and was inducted to the NC State University (NCSU) Electrical and Computer Engineering Alumni Hall of Fame in 2015. He holds a BS Electrical Engineering from NCSU, a Master of Health Information Technology from the University of South Carolina and is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Rich Rogers (SVP & Chief Information Officer), Prisma Health – Greenville, S.C.
Rich Rogers is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Prisma Health, in Greenville, South Carolina. Previously, he served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Greenville Health System since April 2012. He is responsible for the planning, management of information technology, digital health, clinical informatics, enterprise analytics and clinical engineering. Before that, Rogers spent nearly 17 years at Health First in Central Florida, 3 years at Lakeland Regional Health System in St. Joseph, Michigan, and 10 years with the IBM Corporation. Rich has been recognized as the “2019 South Carolina CIO of the Year,” and “2021 Orbie Charlotte Region CIO of the Year.” Rich holds an MBA from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from SUNY Oswego. He is an active member of the College of Health Information Management Executives and the Health Information Management Systems Society. He is married with 3 children.
