SC HIMSS Advocacy Day

When: April 28, 2015

Where: Columbia, SC

Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This is our annual opportunity to learn about and discuss the policies and associated state legislation affecting HIT, and to visit legislators to help them understand our point of view. It is a state-based version of the National HIMSS Annual Policy Summit and Advocacy activities that occur in Washington DC each September.

This event will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, and will feature:

  • a keynote  address on HIT-related policy issues in front of the SC Legislature;
  • a working lunch to learn about the HIMSS positions on the key issues, to review our key message points for our legislators, some guidelines on how to make the interaction fruitful; and
  • a chance to go to the Capitol to meet and discuss the issues with your State legislative representatives.

Lunch will be served.

Please plan to come and work with your peers in educating our Legislature on current issues that affect your organization. The only cost is your time. The potential benefits are tremendous.
