MEDITECH, a leading Enterprise Health Record (EHR) vendor, is pleased to announce Expanse, its fully interoperable web-based platform, has been recognized in two key categories paramount to healthcare success today by the 2020 Best in KLAS: Software & Services report. Expanse was top ranked in the Acute Care EMR (Community Hospital) and Patient Accounting & Patient Management (Community Hospital) categories. This is the sixth consecutive year MEDITECH has been recognized as Best in KLAS by the global healthcare research firm.
The annual Best in KLAS report ranks healthcare IT software and services vendors across numerous market segments. The program recognizes outstanding efforts to help healthcare organizations in their quest to deliver quality patient care. The Best in KLAS designation is awarded only in those software and services market segments that have the broadest operational and clinical impact on healthcare organizations.
“It is a significant achievement for MEDITECH Expanse to be named Best in KLAS,” said Helen Waters, executive vice president, MEDITECH. “Year after year, this acknowledgement by KLAS is further validation that MEDITECH is delivering solutions that excel, with proven results that our software and services enable our customers to streamline efficiencies and enhance patient care.”
MEDITECH Expanse ranked Best in KLAS for Acute Care EMR (Community Hospital). Provider feedback to KLAS around the Expanse Acute Care EMR highlights the strength and completeness of the solution. One customer interviewed by KLAS stated, “The software works great. Everything is built in, and we can get into anything. The vendor has been very helpful and supportive of our organizational goals.”
MEDITECH Expanse was also named KLAS Category Leader for Patient Accounting and Patient Management (Community Hospital). A CIO commented, “Our A/R days have never been so low. We have optimized the tools and workflows to achieve some very tangible outcomes. We have to give MEDITECH full credit for developing such a robust product.”
“Providers and payers demand better performance, usability, and interoperability from their vendor partners every year. Best in KLAS winners set the standard of excellence in their market segment,” said KLAS President Adam Gale. “Earning a Best in KLAS award should both excite and humble the recipients. It serves as a signal to providers that they should expect only the best from the winning vendors.”
