CHIME, Health Informatics Society of Ireland and Irish Computer Society to Launch Chapter

ANN ARBOR, MI, Feb. 28, 2020 – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), the Health Informatics Society of Ireland (HISI) and the Irish Computer Society (ICS) announced today that they have formed an international chapter in Ireland. They will celebrate the official launch of the chapter today during a free educational event in Dublin that features workshops and showcases the benefits of the partnership.

“We are honored to partner with our colleagues in Ireland and share CHIME’s resources with their members,” said Russell Branzell, president and CEO of CHIME. “Like CHIME, HISI and ICS are committed to serving the healthcare and IT communities by providing education, career development and networking opportunities. We look forward to learning from each other and collaborating to help healthcare executives in Ireland become exceptional leaders who will transform health and care.”

Professor Neil O’Hare, HISI Chair, welcomed the new partnership. “HISI is delighted to become the CHIME International Chapter Partner in Ireland, to provide additional benefits and services to its Irish healthcare leaders,” he said. “They can become part of an international community of healthcare leaders and avail of networking and educational resources, as well as study for the international CHCIO accreditation.”
