Chapter Elections

Nominations Open Until June 9.

President-Elect and Secretary positions up for election.

This is the end of the HIMSS fiscal year and each year we close out the year with elections of officers. As you may recall from past years, from our bylaws, or from our “Meet the Board” webinars, the term lengths for our officers are two years, with the Secretary and Treasurer elections held in alternating years. This year the Secretary and President-Elect are both up for nominations.

Our nomination process began May 26; nominations will be open until close of business on June 9th.  At that point, we will present all nominees to the membership via email push and web posts, and will allow another two weeks for members to review nominees and place their vote.  New Board Members will be   instilled on July 1. All positions require a current SC HIMSS membership.

The President Elect is a 2 year term with the follow-on position of becoming the President for 2 years. The qualifications for nomination are to be a member in good standing of HIMSS and the Chapter for at least one year and to have served on the SC HIMSS Board for at least one year.

The Secretary is a two year term. The Secretary takes minutes at each meeting and is responsible for record storage and for overseeing the Communications Committee.  A qualified candidate for Secretary must be a member in good standing of HIMSS and the Chapter for at least one year.

Please send nominations to [email protected].  If you have any questions you may also direct them to this email address or reach out to any Chapter Leader (contact info available here).

Thank you!
